Alessandro Armellin was born in Genoa, Italy in 1996. He got his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering in October 2018, and his Master's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Genoa in March 2021, with a thesis on cybersecurity threats and attacks detection methods of a storage system in a microgrid.
Currently, he is a PhD student at the SCNL Laboratory at the University of Genoa and he collaborates with IREN SpA which is a relevant Italian energy company.
His main research activities concern cybersecurity in the Departments of Operational Technology (OT) and Information Technology (IT), network security in microgrids and smart grids.
