Camilo Jose Rojas

Biography

Camilo Jose Rojas was born in Santiago, Chile 1987. Obtained his Bachelor in Engineering Science, Mention in Electricity from the University of Chile in 2010 and a Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2012. After that he worked at Synopsys Chile in the TCAD group for almost 4 years as a Software Engineer. In  2017 he comes back to the University of Chile to work as a researcher in the Space and Planetary Exploration Laboratory (SPEL), during this time he made several contributions to the SUCHAI Flight-Software, that has been used in four satellites projects to date. In 2020 he obtained his Master in Computer Science researching at Alges laboratory with a Thesis focused in the analysis of geometrical algorithms for geological restoration methodologies.

In 2022 he started a PhD research at the Satellite Communications and Networking Laboratory (SCNL) at the University of Genoa in collaboration with Prof. Juan Fraire of the France National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (INRIA).

His main research topic is to apply machine learning technics in satellites constellation for resource allocation.
