Nour Badini

Biography

Nour Badini was born in Lebanon in 1997. She got a Masters degree in Computer and Communication Engineering at Lebanese University in 2019 with a Thesis concerning a novel design of a Multi-Band Antenna for 5G Applications.
 
Currently, she is a Ph.D. student at the SCNL Laboratory at the University of Genoa.

Afroz Mokarim

Biography

Afroz Mokarim was born in India in 1996. She got her bachelor's degree in 2017 in Electrical Engineering. In 2019, she received her master's degree with a specialization in Electric Drives and Control with a thesis on improving the fault ride-through capability of wind farms integrated with the power grids.

She is currently a PhD student in the SCNL Laboratory at the University of Genoa.

Her research activity includes cybersecurity of critical infrastructure in public administration in collaboration with Aizoon S.p.a.

Camilo Jose Rojas

Biography

Camilo Jose Rojas was born in Santiago, Chile 1987. Obtained his Bachelor in Engineering Science, Mention in Electricity from the University of Chile in 2010 and a Professional Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2012. After that he worked at Synopsys Chile in the TCAD group for almost 4 years as a Software Engineer. In  2017 he comes back to the University of Chile to work as a researcher in the Space and Planetary Exploration Laboratory (SPEL), during this time he made several contributions to the SUCHAI Flight-Software, that has been used in four satellites projects to date. In 2020 he obtained his Master in Computer Science researching at Alges laboratory with a Thesis focused in the analysis of geometrical algorithms for geological restoration methodologies.

In 2022 he started a PhD research at the Satellite Communications and Networking Laboratory (SCNL) at the University of Genoa in collaboration with Prof. Juan Fraire of the France National Institute for Research in Digital Science and Technology (INRIA).

His main research topic is to apply machine learning technics in satellites constellation for resource allocation.

Giacomo De Bernardi

Biography

Giacomo De Bernardi got a Bachelor degree in Mathematics at the Univeristy of Genova in September 2019 and then a Master degree in Mathematics at the University of Milano Bicocca on November 2021.

He is currently a PhD student in the PhD programme on Trustworthy AI at the University of Genova, working at CNR-IEIIT Institute in collaboration with Collins Avionics.

His main research topics concern data analytics from different fields, such as industry, aerospace and automotive, with a specific focus on Explainable Artificial Intelligence, deep learning, and machine learning methods and applications.

Amir Kamal Eddine

Biography

Amir Kamal Eddine was born in Tyr, Lebanon in 1997. He got his Bachelor Degree in Electronics Engineering in 2018 at the Lebanese International University and his Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering (Radio Frequency Design path) in October 2022 at Politecnico di Torino with a Thesis concerning Low Power Radio Frequency Communication System for Biomedical Application.

 

Currently, he is a PhD student at the University of Genoa in collaboration with Thales Alenia Space.

 

His main research activity concerns RF and machine learning for space systems.
